Final Book Review

Risa's book: Rice as Self

Summary of its content: Japanese eating habits depended on rice in the pld days and Japanese rice have huge impacts with various things historically. The power of rice have been clearly exsisted and affect contemprary Japanese people.

What she liked best about the book: The feature of Japanese rice in details like the roots and the process of it.

Some of the book's flaws: The only flaw in the book is that the author have quite positive opinion about Japanese rice. She should remain indifferent in her descriptions.

Saeko's book: Food and Feast in Tudor England

Summary of its content: This book is on food life of people who are between upper and lower class in Tudor England. In this era, everything was decided by their social class. People of uuper class spent much money on preparing banquet so that they could show off how gorgeous it is to their quest.

What she liked best about the book: The book is written by clear English and has many color pictures.

Some of the book's flaws: The author does't know how much fresh fruits or vegetables they ate.

Shoko's book: Good Growing -Why organic farming works-

Summary of its content: We can learn how organic foods are good for our health and the current situation of organic farming.

What she liked best about the book: I can be familiar with healthy food.

Some of the book's flaws: This book is too detailed, so some technical words are difficult.

I read the book relating food, and I learn a lot of culture, history, sociology of food. I want to learn more about food! Thank you to read my blog.
